The Final Cut™ is our no-cost, no-obligation process designed to answer one simple question:

What does your financial situation actually need right now?

Through years of working with creators, influencers, and creative entrepreneurs we’ve learned that not everyone needs the same thing at the same time:

Some creators need clarity.

Some need structure.

Some need strategy.

The Final cut helps us determine where you are today and what level of support makes sense next.

Answers to these questions (and others you have on your mind!) are documented and delivered in a personalized Financial Roadmap.

For those who are creators or influencers and a good fit for our firm, there is no cost or obligation for this process as we want you to know exactly how we can help you before you pay us a single dollar in fees or trust us with a penny of your savings

Step 0 - Financial Clarity (Where most creators start)

Before we talk about strategies, investments, or long-term goals, we start with a more fundamental question. Do you actually trust your numbers?

At this stage we’re looking to understand:

  • Are your business finances organized and tax-ready?
  • Do you know what you’re really earning, spending, and keeping?
  • Can you answer basic questions about cash flow without guessing?

For many creators, the answer is not yet, and that’s completely normal.

When clarity is missing, the right next step is getting organized.

For creators at this stage, ongoing bookkeeping and business clarity are the foundation everything else is built on.

Step 1 - First Conversation: Understanding the Full Picture

In our first Zoom meeting, the goal is to understand:

  • Your business model and income streams
  • How money currently flows through your business and personal life
  • What feels confusing, stressful, or uncertain right now
  • Where you think you and where you want to go

This conversation gives us context to start building a one-page roadmap outlining how we’d help you move forward.

Step 2 - Our Analysis: Diagnosing the Next Move

This is where we step back and do our thing.

Using what we learned in Step 1, we analyze your situation across three dimensions:

  1. Clarity: Are your numbers reliable and complete?
  2. Control: Do you have visibility into spending, taxes, and cash flow?
  3. Command: Are there clear opportunities to reduce taxes, improve decisions, or plan ahead?

The result is a personalized Financial Roadmap, with the purpose of telling us:

“What would meaningfully improve your financial situation right now?”

Step 3 - The Recommendation: What Makes Sense Now

In our second Zoom meeting, we walk you through the roadmap in plain English.

This is where we explain:

  • What stage you’re currently in
  • What problems are worth solving now
  • What problems can (and should) wait

This is where you can see, in dollars and cents, how our firm can improve your finances.

At the end of this meeting we will ask if you would like to begin working with our firm or if you would like to take a Final Cut.

Step 4 - Your Final Cut™

We are in no rush for you to make a decision. Prior to deciding whether we should work together, you will want to answer the following questions:

  • Do I like / trust / respect the team at 1Up Financial Advisors?
  • Do their recommendations make sense to me and for where I am right now?
  • Will the benefits they provide exceed their cost?
  • Do I understand why this is the right next step?

Step 5 - Third Meeting / Implementation

If and when you’re ready, we’ll walk you through the onboarding process for the level of support that fits your situation today.

And as your business grows, the framework grows with you!
